Rural Roadside Rock
Since my last post I’ve been having a hard time getting going in the mornings – the transition from sleep to full wakefulness has been difficult, and I seemed to be finally awake only once it was late evening and time to wind back down for sleep. But today when I first woke up the fog seemed to clear easily and I enjoyed feeling more alert both earlier in the day and for a longer stretch. I also collected another car-load of rock today and placed it along the path in my yard leading to the trail. The county road crew dug drainage ditches along the edges of some of the dirt roads in my rural neighborhood and left nice rock in piles strewn along the banks of the road. I got a bit carried away this time and went for some of the larger rock, and my back is already aching. Hopefully it won’t be too sore tomorrow!

Well, just as long as you’re “lifting sensibly.”
I love the look of natural rock, used in landscaping.
Cool a man after my own heart gathering the materials at hand. Hope your back is not too sore. Judi
((Lest gender confusion ensue, I hereby clarify that I’m sure sweet Judi meant to say “woman” not “man” in that last comment!))
Yes, back pain sucks, mine still hurts some even though it’s been over a month since I messed it up, the only time in six years I’ve not gone to work… I felt so guilty, but the good medicine helped relieve that by making me sleep almost 20 hours a day… LOL
We will be expecting pictures when done… yah know that right… be safe
Glad you enjoyed the pictures. Judi
Careful! I bet it’s going to be fantastic.
I wouldn’t worry too much about “the fog,” it is the time of year for foggy-brained mornings.
If it is your lower back bothering you, sleep on your side with a thick pillow between your thighs. It helps relieve pressure on you spine. If it’s your upper back, you could try some peppermint oil to losen the muscles.
Don’t overdo it, Cath!
Having a clear head is a great blessing… one that you don’t appreciate until you’ve lost it. Sounds like a great day.
Good luck with the landscaping. I am not very good at that.
*waves away the fog this morning*
